If you've read issue 229 of Nintendo Power, you'll see a "NEXT MONTH" segment which is very interesting. They show us a picture of a moon and tell us that there are hidden clues within the picture. Some say that it may reveal to us certain games that will be revealed by Nintendo at E3.
Yes, the image is big, but I'm sure we can all deal with it. Also, here is the original image of the moon.
I have found some interesting things in the moon, which may help us discover what this certain "secret" is that Nintendo holds for us. It should also be noted that the glare is not part of the picture... it's just a glare.
1. Dinosaur/Chocobo... thing?
As to what this may be, I have no idea. I do get the idea that it looks something like a chocobo, though... Gives us something to ponder over. Has Nintendo worked with Square or could it be a completely new series that is coming out? (EDIT: It turns out that this was just a glare from the camera. Sorry.)
2. Pokeball
Now many people seemed to have seen this: a pokeball which is obviously a reference to Pokemon. Could there be some new news on the Pokemon franchise? If you've read my Top 10 Nintendo Franchises I Would like to see on the Wii, you would know that I am hoping for a 3d Pokemon RPG. Hey, a boy can dream, can't he?
3. KiD
The word "KiD" can be found in between the glare and the top of the moon. This could possibly be that Nintendo Power is indicating a Kid Icarus remake. Again, this was mention in my Top 10 Nintendo Franchises I Would like to see on the Wii and a game like this would bring back nostalgia for many early NES gamers.
4. Link?
Could this be a picture of Link from our beloved "Legend of Zelda" franchise? Well, it could be and it could be a possibility as Twilight Princess was a GameCube port.
5. Samus???
This one is one of the harder ones to see, but it seems as though there is a picture of Samus from the Metroid Series. Hm... We just had Metroid Prime 3 out but could there possibly be another Metroid game planned?
6. Mother/Earthbound?
As you can see from the image above, the Moon is used as the "O" for Mother... interesting isn't it?
7. Majora's Mask?
8. Pikmin, Bulborb, and Olimar on a Ship?
You can see many different signs of a Pikmin 3 coming out on the Wii as shown here.
9. Pit
This could be another indicator of a Kid Icarus game
10. Fox
It's a bit small, but if you look closely, you can see the features of a fox.
